Join us as we unveil an array of events designed to enrich your experience in Dominica.
We welcome you to participate in our popular beach BBQs, volunteering, and annual Yachting Festival blending good times and friendly competition with breathtaking scenery and a vibrant cultural immersion.
Our events will connect you with fellow yachters and introduce you to the authentic soul of The Nature Isle.
Our annual week of festivities aimed at displaying sincere appreciation to our yachting community and introducing our beautiful island through tours, beach activities, entertainment, community service, and local culinary art.
Always a swell time, our twice weekly Beach BBQs have been a yachtie favourite for years. This is a great way to meet other cruisers, eat well, and dance the early evening away!

The annual Salty Dawg Dominica Rendezvous is a chance to immerse yourself in Dominica's breathtaking natural beauty and enjoy cruising camaraderie while contributing to a meaningful volunteer project.
The PAYS Dominica Yachting Festival had its official launch on March 9th, 2023, at the picturesque Purple Turtle Beach Club located in Portsmouth. This collaborative initiative, brought to life through the partnership between the Portsmouth Association of Yacht Services (PAYS), Offshore Passage Opportunities (OPO), the Dominica Ministry of Tourism, and Discover Dominica Authority, is geared towards enhancing yacht visits to Dominica through a diverse range of engaging activities and entertainment.
Taking place from March 19th to 26th, 2023, the inaugural edition of the festival embraced the theme 'Celebrating Yachties in our Communities.' The festival's focal point was to captivate and allure yacht enthusiasts by offering an array of experiences, including guided tours, vibrant beach happenings, captivating entertainment, meaningful community involvement, and a showcase of local culinary expertise.
This yachting festival is an evolution of PAYS' Yachtie Appreciation Week, an annual week-long event established in 2016 as a gesture of gratitude towards the yacht visitors who frequent Dominica. Last year's Yachtie Appreciation Week saw active participation from over 70 yacht enthusiasts, while approximately 60 yachts found anchorage at Prince Rupert Bay. Noteworthy moments from the previous year encompassed the planting of 120 trees at Point Ronde Bridge, alongside the highly praised farm-to-table encounter, lauded as a pinnacle experience by numerous yacht enthusiasts.
The 2024 edition of the PAYS Yachting Festival will take place from Saturday 23rd to Sunday 31st March 2024. View this year's programme and find out more about PAYS Dominica Yachting Festival 2024 here. Email us, Follow us on Facebook, or Subscribe to our Newsletter to be kept in the loop! xoxo
PAYS has gained a reputation for our popular Beach BBQ gatherings. These lively events take place every Sunday and Wednesday from 7PM. We're more than happy to organize them for private groups upon request as well. These gatherings present a delectable spread of mouthwatering grilled fare complemented by a kickin' rum punch! They provide an ideal setting to connect and socialize with fellow cruisers and PAYS members. The atmosphere is consistently vibrant, with lively music setting the tone for an enjoyable time. Embrace the rhythm, create lasting memories, and forge friendships that will stand the test of time as you dance the night away.
Tickets cost only 20 USD and may be purchased from the office and select PAYS officers. Come join the fun! Email us, Follow us on Facebook, or Subscribe to our Newsletter to be kept updated on all PAYS happenings! xoxo
Being part of PAYS, we take great pride in our dedicated backing of the Portsmouth community and the environment. We consider it an honor to join with our cruisers in contributing funds and essential supplies to institutions like the Home for the Aged. Our time and talents are happily contributed to rehabilitating and maintaining the dinghy dock, the beach pavilion, and other such utilities. Acknowledging the significance of preserving the natural beauty of our beloved Nature Isle, we remain steadfast in our commitment to yearly tree planting initiatives and comprehensive beach cleanup drives, alongside other meaningful undertakings. We extend an open invitation to all yacht visitors to join us in these worthwhile pursuits, showcasing the big heart of the yachting community.
