Nestled between the French islands of Guadeloupe and Martinique in the Eastern Caribbean, Dominica is often called the "Nature Isle". She boasts a rich history shaped by indigenous Kalinago inhabitants, European exploration, and colonial influence. Gaining independence in 1978, the island's lush, volcanic landscape is renowned for misty peaks, rainforests, waterfalls, and marine wonders. Its vibrant culture blends African, English, French and indigenous heritage, showcased through our creole music, dance, and diverse festivals. Dominica's eco-friendly ethos fosters responsible tourism, inviting visitors to hike the iconic Waitukubuli trails, explore underwater treasures, and get to know our people for an authentic Caribbean experience immersed in stunning nature and warm hospitality.
